I like this site.  So many book review sites are… well, ridiculously pretentious. There’s this subset of the book-reading culture that says “We have to be snooty and hoity-toity in order to properly enjoy books, and books commonly enjoyed by the masses… well, those aren’t real books anyway.” And, of course, there’s the whole “If Oprah didn’t tell me to read it, it’s just not worth knowing about” mindset. Anyway, Bookgasm insightful without being pretentious. It’s intelligent reviewing without needing to talk down to you.

Their “About” section, copied below, does a good job of explaining what they’re all about.
