SUPERMANBAT… I mean… gah.

So excited.

OK.

OK….

So… so there’s a new Warner Brothers Animated Superman/Batman movie coming out. It’ll be released on BluRay for extra awesomeness. It is the ANIMATED FILM ADAPTATION OF THE GRAPHIC NOVEL THAT IS IN MY BATHROOM RIGHT NOW.

This is a big deal. The graphic novel covers the first comic issues for the ongoing Superman/Batman monthly series and is called “Public Enemies”. Can I just say how thrilling this is? I can? God. This is absolutely thrilling. There have been some good animated movies released lately, as well as some bad ones.

For me, however, the biggest news is the fact that they’re reuniting Tim Daly and Kevin Conroy to voice-act the roles of Superman and Batman, respectively. To my mind they are the best vocal representations of any animated cartoon characters that I can think of, after Mark Hamil as the Joker. (Let’s be honest, no one will ever voice act anything as well as he’s done the Joker). While Warner brothers will never come out and say “We dropped the ball on the DCAU (DC Animated Universe) when they pulled Justice Leage and brought out The Batman… the fact that they’re moving in the opposite direction of a lot of the nonsense they’ve released recently is a good sign for me.

Oh yeah, I forgot to show something… THIS, BITCHES:

Superman Batman: Public Enemies – Official Trailer

Even if it’s loosely based on the comic (and it doesn’t appear to be, it appears to follow the story very well) we’re in for a treat. This series analyzed the relationship between Superman and Batman so very well. They hit the nail right on the head regarding the two characters. And the villains in this series. We’ll see just about everyone except the Joker in it.

Go to the site. Check it out. Nothing I say does any of it any justice at all.

3 DAYS.
